Tasmota devices​

Prerequisite​

No external USB dongle is required for the integration of Tasmota devices.

First, your Tasmota device must be integrated into your local WiFi network. Instructions are included in the device packaging.

The communication of your Tasmota device with HomeAssistant runs via the MQTT interface.
Therefore you have to set the MQTT parameters in the Tasmota software. To do this, open the Tasmota software settings.

Select Configuration and then Configure MQTT.

As parameters you need:
Host: enter the IP address of your Smartbuddy here
User: haadmin
Password: admin2021
Then select Save.

HA Integration​

First open the Integration menu of HomeAssistant via this button on the 'Home' dashboard.
Integration

Here, select + ADD INTEGRATION at the bottom right.
Enter Tasmota and select the integration displayed. Confirm the subsequent query.
If Tasmota devices are already found, they are now displayed and can be assigned to a room. You will then find the integration Tasmota on the overview page.

New Tasmota devices are automatically displayed and added here. You can add the entities for each device to your dashboard.
